It's December??? How did it sneak up on me so soon? But I say, bring it on! I love this season.
At the beginning of 2016, I started a personal project. I placed two containers next to my bed, labeled "Good Day," and "Bad Day." Next to them I placed a stack of index cards. Every night before I went to bed, I would jot down the highlight of the day, no matter how insignificant, and put the card into the appropriate container. After 6 months, I opened them. I had a grand total of three cards in the Bad Day container. Now, there were other days with conflicts, or struggles, or headaches, but when I have to label a day either Good or Bad, and I know I am alive and fed and clothed, in a home, with children that know the Lord and a husband who is the world to me...I have to say it's a good day.
The past year has been a good one for the worship team. Thanks to the help of the Woolery family, we learned several new songs, and got to mix things up a bit. Now we are looking forward to the Christmas service, where the worship team will be teaming up with the teenagers for a special number or two. We're gonna have a blast! Don't miss that service!
Christmas is right around the corner. While "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year," it's also the most hectic time of the year for many people. Don't forget to take time every day to just settle yourself, breathe, and remember that this is all about Jesus. Remember to worship him with your thoughts, your words, your songs, and your actions. Like I often say, worship isn't something you feel, it's something you do.
